Super Junior’s Super Show

Super Junior will be continuing their Super Show 2 concert tour at the Araneta Coliseum at 7PM. This is the first time a K-Pop group had a large concert in such a main venue.

Super Junior fans aren’t the only ones excited for the concert, the members are just as excited themselves. During a Press Conference held in Edsa Shangri-la in Ortigas, the members expressed their thrill for the concert.

“We have already heard from people that we will be holding our concert in a very huge stadium, therefore we are very excited,” said the leader Leeteuk, “the entire performance will be filled with striking surprises.”
“There will be a very special performance where we will be dressed up as girls,” he revealed, after some explanation, they will be impersonating their junior from SM Entertainment, f(x). “Therefore, please keep a close attention to these surprises.”

Super Junior visited a total of 8 cities: Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Bangkok, Philippines and etc. Philippines is also the last stop for their Asia tour.

Leeteuk said, “We are very elated to be in Philippines,” “We have always wanted to come here.”

Sungmin said, “We have always wanted to come to Philippines because there were always fans from Philippines who came to Korea to view our radio programs and musicals as a way to show their support. We want to come here because there are a lot of ELFs here in Philippines.”

Leeteuk then sang a very short song for the Filipino fans, which reminds him of the Philippines. He then said, “You won’t get to see it on the television therefore it will be very special for you.”

When the media said that the 23-year-old had the most fans here in Philippines, Donghae said “I was shocked to know that I’m the most popular member in Philippines.”

He then continued saying that he hopes that he would be able to act in a soap opera that would receive a lot of love from fans and the media.

Due to some complications, Super Junior at the Araneta Coliseum will only have 10 members at the Super Show 2 concert. Hangeng is in a lawsuit with SM Entertainment for the termination of his contract, while Kangin is still on a break to handle some legal problems.

Donghae said, “Thank you everyone for all the supports and the warm welcome. This will be our first time, but we hope to enjoy every single moment during the concert.”

Leeteuk said, “This is our first time visiting Philippines, but we’re grateful for all your love and care. We are very happy that we’re holding our last stop in Philippines. Therefore, please continue to support and love the music that we’ll be releasing soon. We will work hard to show you the best of Super Junior.”

Super Junior has also expressed thoughts of coming back to the Philippines for Super Show 3. Will we see a Super Show 3 in the Philippines?

Super Junior Sets New Record for Largest Stage at Araneta Coliseum This Saturday, April 10

MANILA, Philippines – PULP Live Productions in cooperation with Araneta Coliseum will make concert history in the Philippines with the one-night-only performance of the Super Junior Super Show 2 on April 10. It will also be the last tour destination for the Super Show 2 in an Asia tour that has been ongoing with tremendous success for the last six months in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

According to music industry experts the Super Show 2 stage will be the largest indoor or outdoor stage ever built in the Philippines. The second largest stage was built for a Smart Infinity event using 209 stage platforms. The Super Junior stage will use some 329-stage platforms not including glass portions of the stage.

Unlike many international superstars who have come to the Philippines, Super Junior will not be holding out and giving fans a curtailed performance. The Super Junior Super Show 2 in Manila will run a minimum of three hours with the band performing over 30 songs with massive amounts of stage effects to boot.

In preparation for this mammoth event PULP Live Productions is taking almost a week to reinvent the Araneta Coliseum virtually making the entire patron area of the coliseum a stage. This makes the current lower box area virtually the front of stage while bringing the Upper A and Upper B areas close to the front of stage. This has never before been witnessed by any concertgoer in this country.

The Super Junior Super Show 2 is being presented by Smart Buddy with Bench and Hyundai as co-presentors. Official residences of Super Junior are The Edsa Shangri-La Hotel and Discovery Suites. Official caterers are Pizza Hut, Gerry’s Grill and Kaya.

Tickets are still available. Call Ticketnet at 911-5555 or go to any Ticketnet outlet located in any SM Department store nationwide or at the Ticketnet Box Office at Araneta Coliseum.

The three-hour show will start promptly on Saturday at 7 p.m.
