Super Junior’s Super Show

Super Junior will be continuing their Super Show 2 concert tour at the Araneta Coliseum at 7PM. This is the first time a K-Pop group had a large concert in such a main venue.

Super Junior fans aren’t the only ones excited for the concert, the members are just as excited themselves. During a Press Conference held in Edsa Shangri-la in Ortigas, the members expressed their thrill for the concert.

“We have already heard from people that we will be holding our concert in a very huge stadium, therefore we are very excited,” said the leader Leeteuk, “the entire performance will be filled with striking surprises.”
“There will be a very special performance where we will be dressed up as girls,” he revealed, after some explanation, they will be impersonating their junior from SM Entertainment, f(x). “Therefore, please keep a close attention to these surprises.”

Super Junior visited a total of 8 cities: Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Bangkok, Philippines and etc. Philippines is also the last stop for their Asia tour.

Leeteuk said, “We are very elated to be in Philippines,” “We have always wanted to come here.”

Sungmin said, “We have always wanted to come to Philippines because there were always fans from Philippines who came to Korea to view our radio programs and musicals as a way to show their support. We want to come here because there are a lot of ELFs here in Philippines.”

Leeteuk then sang a very short song for the Filipino fans, which reminds him of the Philippines. He then said, “You won’t get to see it on the television therefore it will be very special for you.”

When the media said that the 23-year-old had the most fans here in Philippines, Donghae said “I was shocked to know that I’m the most popular member in Philippines.”

He then continued saying that he hopes that he would be able to act in a soap opera that would receive a lot of love from fans and the media.

Due to some complications, Super Junior at the Araneta Coliseum will only have 10 members at the Super Show 2 concert. Hangeng is in a lawsuit with SM Entertainment for the termination of his contract, while Kangin is still on a break to handle some legal problems.

Donghae said, “Thank you everyone for all the supports and the warm welcome. This will be our first time, but we hope to enjoy every single moment during the concert.”

Leeteuk said, “This is our first time visiting Philippines, but we’re grateful for all your love and care. We are very happy that we’re holding our last stop in Philippines. Therefore, please continue to support and love the music that we’ll be releasing soon. We will work hard to show you the best of Super Junior.”

Super Junior has also expressed thoughts of coming back to the Philippines for Super Show 3. Will we see a Super Show 3 in the Philippines?

Super Junior Sets New Record for Largest Stage at Araneta Coliseum This Saturday, April 10

MANILA, Philippines – PULP Live Productions in cooperation with Araneta Coliseum will make concert history in the Philippines with the one-night-only performance of the Super Junior Super Show 2 on April 10. It will also be the last tour destination for the Super Show 2 in an Asia tour that has been ongoing with tremendous success for the last six months in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

According to music industry experts the Super Show 2 stage will be the largest indoor or outdoor stage ever built in the Philippines. The second largest stage was built for a Smart Infinity event using 209 stage platforms. The Super Junior stage will use some 329-stage platforms not including glass portions of the stage.

Unlike many international superstars who have come to the Philippines, Super Junior will not be holding out and giving fans a curtailed performance. The Super Junior Super Show 2 in Manila will run a minimum of three hours with the band performing over 30 songs with massive amounts of stage effects to boot.

In preparation for this mammoth event PULP Live Productions is taking almost a week to reinvent the Araneta Coliseum virtually making the entire patron area of the coliseum a stage. This makes the current lower box area virtually the front of stage while bringing the Upper A and Upper B areas close to the front of stage. This has never before been witnessed by any concertgoer in this country.

The Super Junior Super Show 2 is being presented by Smart Buddy with Bench and Hyundai as co-presentors. Official residences of Super Junior are The Edsa Shangri-La Hotel and Discovery Suites. Official caterers are Pizza Hut, Gerry’s Grill and Kaya.

Tickets are still available. Call Ticketnet at 911-5555 or go to any Ticketnet outlet located in any SM Department store nationwide or at the Ticketnet Box Office at Araneta Coliseum.

The three-hour show will start promptly on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Ent.163 reported on 27th March (Report:Zhang Jun Na, Pictures: Wang Ran)
Han Geng attended finals of the Migu Show. Since the news breakout of his contract termination last year, it was his first public appearance. This attracted large amount of media and fans, causing chaos at the studio. Before the activity starts, he accepted a short interview from the media. As for the news everyone cared for, the progress of his contract termination case and about his new company, he kept mum about it. He stated that, ‘Now isn’t the time to discuss about this issue’.

Many fans attended the show causing chaos
Media waited two long hours for a seven minutes interview

Since Han Geng’s dispute with his Korean company last year, there were a lot of reports on him but he had never appeared in front of the public crowd. Yesterday was the last episode of the Migu Show, they invited Jay Chou and him as guests, and this was also his first public appearance since the news breakout.
Han Geng’s fans got the first hand news and waited at the studio since in the afternoon causing a big human jam. Those who had the tickets started queuing 4 to 5 hours before the show while those who don’t have the tickets were wandering around. The situation was quite chaotic.

That night, the organizers arranged Han Geng for a media interview, but the interview was delayed and delayed again. The media waited a full 2 hours before the interview started. Before the interview, it was made cleared that there should be no questions about the contract termination or any questions related to the current news of his new company. During the interview, the organizers arranged a ‘main member’ for asking the questions. So all the questions were about the activity that night and there was also time set aside for fans to give presents, causing the 10 over media at the scenes to be extremely unhappy. This situation causes the media there to start a ‘war’ of questioning. In this situation, Han Geng was extremely awkward so the interview only goes on for 7 minutes and was hastily wrapped up.

Went to the America for dancing and singing courses
Denied opening a dance school with Jay Chou

Han Geng stated in the interview that he stayed in America for half a month. He was there to improve on his dancing and music capabilities, including learning from Michael Jackson’s dance choreographer. He said, ‘I had some free time on hand so I decided to recharge myself and do things I loved.’ There was news stating that Han Geng had started to prepare for his new album in America. He denied the news of him preparing for his new album. ‘I wasn’t doing any preparation for any new album there. I was just there to learn more things because I wanted everyone to see a brand new Han Geng.’

There were reports about Jay Chou and him opening a dance school the day before, he shook his head and denied this piece of information. ‘I don’t know who came up with such news again’

Avoid talking about contract issues
Don’t mind collaborating with Super Junior members again

Han Geng’s publicist reminded the media again and again before the interview that no questions about the case should be asked, because if there is any discussion, it would affect the progress. But, the fate of Han Geng’s future is under great attention. He admitted that there were several companies that made contact with him but he would not talk about it now. He only said that he is also currently still waiting for the outcome so he cannot talk about it and did not reveal anymore.

Han Geng also stated that he had not thought much about his future. He did not make a comment about the news of him joining a new group; he just said that he did not think about whether to come back as a soloist or a member of a group. But, he hoped that he can work with some outstanding artistes in near future. If there is a chance, he felt that collaborating with members of Super Junior again would not be a problem. Even though going through the contract termination crisis, he expressed that he is still in contact with the members of Super Junior from time to time, proving that their relationship is still good, not strained.
